 May be of interest to California San Francisco Bay Area musicians:

Hey anybody looking for something to do on Independence day, come out and join Saint Gabriel's Celestial Brass Band in the Orinda, California Independence Day Parade 10:00 a.m.  we have played this Parade  the past two years and have fondly been referred to in the press as "THE REALLY GOOD BAND "     There is usually a community band there stationary on the sidewalk who would probably welcome sit ins they use charts.  

Bring your instrument and wear Red White & Blue.  You can take Bart right to Orinda and save parking hassle, we will meet up in the East Bart Parking Lot at 9:00 a.m.  Of course our music will be Nawlins Jazz in a Second Line Parade style, Bring your favorite lady is you wish and Mardi Gras or Red White & Blue attire  Hats, Beads and Parasols, feathers or whatever works, for us the more color the better.   ( If you drive I suggest you leave your instrument case in your car, we have no storage place for them. )

We have to skeedaddle right at the end of the Parade to dash over to San Francisco and Play another one:  The Laidley Street Parade and Block Party  starts at 112 Laidley Street  94131 
 ( Parking is a chore at this one)  Residential district.   But a great little neighborhood event.
