Wow, that brings back some great memories. That's how it was. Lots of kids dancing to Dixieland. No artsy music here, just a dance band. <grin>

A few years later they eliminated the dance floor, put in longer narrow table and for a while the audience increased. Lots of college kids, young people, drinking, shouting, laughing and having a great time. (Ask Conrad Janis) After being in the audience many times, I finally got to play clarinet there with the Southampton Dixie, Racing, and Clambake Society Jazz Band. Large crowds much fun.
