Of course, the Copyright Office does not guarantee ownership. All it does is
provide an unimpeachable record of the date and time of the registration of
the first CLAIM of ownership.
So, if yours is the earliest claim, backed up by the physical examples of
the submitted samples, AND you persue the matter in court, you win.
Now you have the problem of collection of the judgement.
Generally, you will get more satisfaction from hiring a competent hit man to
enforce your claim, IF you can identify whom he should target.
