Hello all

Three cheers for Rae Ann Berry, Håkan Forsberg and Ricky Riccardi. Even
though the Social Security Number application doesn't resolve the issue
of which birth date Armstrong believed, it's wonderful to have the
document. And it was there in the Armstrong House Museum all the time.

It's existence can be verified by going to the Museum site:

There is no graphic but there may be a way to get it posted to a site
accessible to DJMLers.

For those interested in the minutiae of Armstrong's life, the
application was made in Los Angeles on 25 May 1937 when Armstrong was in
Hollywood to record a number for the Paramount picture /Artists and
models/. Details of the recording session are given in Jos Willems'
discography (page105).

All the best,
Anton
