Bob

The second verse and chorus as I recall AND modified to enhance my own
retirement funds dilemma (victim of a Ponzi scheme)

The more you go around, in these good ole US towns,

You’ll find out what I say to you is true.

They’ll meet you with a smile, but you know all the while.

They’re trying to spring another clam that’s new.

The things they’re always telling, of investments that they’re selling.

And thousands that they’ll return to you in gold

Everybody knows they’re lying, it’s the ACES who do the buying.

That funds them for the deals that then go cold.

CHORUS 2:

Some of them sell shares to the old folks for dough,

That is their ace in the hole.

Others have friends, who’ll fix the cash flow.

That is their ace in the hole.

Now they’ll tell you of money that they’ve made and they’ve spent.

But they never can flash a bank roll.

Oh, they’d be on the “breadline”, without clothes or a dime,

If they lost that old Ace Down In the Hole.
