>From the San Francisco Chronicle archives, February 10, 1962:
Everybody's doing it! The Twist, that is -- even suave Nat King Cole, whose tongue-in-cheek
version of "I Won't Twist," concocted by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, was a showstopper
at his sell-out Thursday night opening in the Venetian Room. Launching an engagement
of eleven nights, the unrivalled monarch of the dreamy ballad opened with his standard
"This Is a Lovely Way to Spend an Evening." A sentiment obviously shared by the audience.
A generous 55 minutes later, Cole had woven his magic into such unforgettables as
"Unforgettable," "Mona Lisa," and "Paper Moon," had introduced Van Heusen's dramatic
"Where Did Everyone Go?" and a great Billy May arrangement of "Walkin' My Baby Back
Home," as well as taking his special solo spot on the piano.

"There are three things I like about being on an Italian cruise ship
First their cuisine is unsurpassed.
Second their service is superb.
And then, in time of emergency, there is none of this nonsense about women and children first."
--Winston Churchill.
