Interesting indeed, not to say fascinating. There's been discussion
before on this list on what key CCS was recorded in - Chris Tyle, I
remember, came down firmly in favour of F, and I'm sure he's right.
Following the link you supplied, I was completely drawn into Ricky
Riccardi's blog and ended up listening to a dozen or so of the examples
of Armstrong recordings he provides. I've known most of them for years,
of course (the first 78 record I ever bought was Cornet Chop Suey, in
about 1954), but Riccardi has a way of shedding new light on the most
familiar material, making you see it through his eyes (or rather hearing
it through his ears). Great to see such enthusiasm in one so young!
Glad to see from your website that you and the band are still going
strong. Say hello to Tom and Daryl from me and Jude.
