Hello New Orleans food and music lovers,

If you've been paying attention, you'll note that the Mayan calendar runs out this Friday, Dec. 21. So its the end of the world.

On Thursday, Dec. 20, what better way to go out than to come to Tapalaya Restaurant and enjoy the Milneburg Jazz Band? So what if you have a few drinks, some jambalaya, and a plate of beignets? You won't have to get on the scale in the morning. Hey, and if you put it on a credit card, you won't even have to pay your bill.

That's (perhaps the last ever) early New Orleans Jazz at Tapalaya, 28 N.E. 28th in Portland, Oregon, 6-9 pm.
