[Dixielandjazz] The Swinging Strings

Dear Listers:

On Sunday, December 9 the Austin Traditional Jazz Society will offer a performance by the Swinging Strings,  a unique group that offers echoes of Eddie Lang and Joe Venuti, and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France.  The Strings have performed for ATJS in various combinations for four years.  This year's version will consist of Erik Hokkanen on violin and guitar, J.D. Pendley on guitar and banjo, Dave Biller and Rick McRae on guitar and Ryan Gould on bass.  Their stars shine brightly, and you won't hear hotter jazz anywhere.

The concert will be at Cap City Comedy Club, 8120 Research Boulevard, Austin, TX on December 9 from 2 to 5 pm.  For more uinformation see www.atjs.org.
