[Dixielandjazz] Berlin, Amsterdam and Prague

Dear Nita,
In Prague, just next to the old City Hall on Staromestske Namesti (Old
Town Square), on the side of the astronomic clock, there is (or at
least - was) a resturant "U Prince." When I ws there a few years ago,
it featured traditional jazz nightly. The band was always "The
Storyville Jazz Band," but, in practice, two bands alternated. Food
was pretty good, too.
A jazz band plays on the square itself, and another one - on the Karl
Bridge. But you should rally follow current publications.
Malostranski Beseda is a venue for more traditional jazz forms, but
you need luck (I heard the Prague Syncopated Orchestra there, and it
was excellent). And there is Jazz Club Reduta, where Pres. Clinton
played, but it usually does not feature OKOM. And if you come across
Bob (real name - Lubos) Zajicek, that you are really lucky!
Only once I found jazz in Amsterdam - the Joseph Lam Jazz Band, but I
don't think it still exists.
Enjoy your trip!
