Actually I agree with those who have posted about enjoying the violin and
the guitar, losing patience with the rest. And I'm one who rarely
appreciates jazz violin.
Andy, I have a vinyl record of Frank Vignola soloing on banjo when he was
about 13 - 14. :?) . I have seen reference to him still occasionally
enjoying banjo recreationally.
But a few years ago he told me he was making a very nice living with his
guitar -- and that is certainly a deserved outcome. Great guy and musician.

I like the overall effect, but it wont appeal to all on the list.
After all there's not Tuba and Banjo :^)
