Thanx, Gerard ..... but how the heck did I manage to miss that tour !! I 
used to follow the band around as often as I could and saw them with many of 
their 'guests'.

Regarding the 1968 Alex Welsh Band : I heard rumours many years (decades) 
ago that they recorded in the USA at, or around the time, they appeared at 
the Newport Jazz Festival. Do you know if there is any truth in the rumours 
?
