This segment of a performance by the New Orleans trumpeter Henry 
'Red' Allen was filmed at an Alex Welsh concert in the 1960's.

In case you are wondering, Alex Welsh was a Scottish jazz trumpet 
player who would commonly invited guest stars (usually his jazz heroes)
such as Earl Hines, Peanuts Hucko, Pee Wee Russell, and Ruby Braff 
to perform with his band.

And it's a good thing he did, or this excellent footage of 
Henry 'Red' Allen would never have been filmed!
