I would like to echo Pat's sentiments in encouraging everyone to read Stan's
1988 autobiography.

While it contains much humor associated with his success in the recording
industry as well as the world of advertising, the chapters devoted to his
relationship with David Merrick kept me on the edge of my seat.

I could have read it in one sitting except for the fact that I ran out of
daylight (it was during the 13 days I was without electricty in the
aftermath of Hurricane Ike in September 2008)
As recently as a few days ago I know there were several used copies of it
available on Amazon at very reasonable prices
