It would only be a stab in the dark on my part, but due to the fact that she
spent a considerable part of her career in France, it wouldn't surprise me
at all if the recording you are looking for was by Josephine Baker.
However, I have not been able to confirm it..Perhaps our friend Bill Haesler
might be able to offer some assistance.
