Dick Knutson died Sunday morning, June 26 after a long illness (most likely lukemia). He was a trombone player and leader of the Desert City Six since the late 50's. He was a mover and shaker in the world of New Orleans Jazz in the Phoenix area for over 50 years. He will be missed. Joe Hopkins
