Thanx for the update, Stan:

Since it was reported in the Washington Post as having occurred yesterday, I
feel it is safe to report that longtime "Columbo" star Peter Falk died of
Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 83

If there's anyone reading this thinking "where's the musical content here",
closest I can come is that the role of Lt. Columbo was originally offered to
Bing Crosby, who reportedly turned it down because it would interfere with
his golf game. We all know of course that Bing died in Spain in 1977 after
completing a round of golf.

I will never forget the time that Peter Falk was interviewed by James Lipton
on the Bravo series "Inside the Actors Studio". At the end of the program,
Lipton would always present a series of questions to his guest, among which
was "If heaven exists, what would you like to have God say to you when you
arrived?"

Falk replied, "Where did you get those shoes?".

PF did sing one song in the motion picture "Robin & the 7 Hoods".
