Pace Ken, whom I respect -- I haven't been to New Orleans Jazz and Heritage
Festival since 2002 . . . but I went every year for a while in the '70s and
'80s and was always amazed at what a great job the fest crew did in placing
stages with tents, trucks, food and crafts stands as baffles that prevented
overlapping sound. Not perfect but quite close. They had it down as a
science. And that festival is genuine festive in a way that is hardly ever
duplicated indoors. -- Howard
