Norman,
some of the lurkers are Real Jazz fans (joke folks) - I'm one of them most
of the time - lurker I mean.
Some of my favourite New Orleans recordings have Dee Dee on them.
Love Songs Of The Nile being the obvious one - Ramon Navarro film being the
origin I believe.
Back to lurking and listening to Wooden Joe, Punch, Bunk, Percy & Willie,
Big Jim, The Eureka ......
Not forgetting Parker - oh! just remembered mustn't talk or post about him -
shame.
Knocky's okay not Charles.
By the way regarding the Dixieland discussion - don't forget Sharkey, LaLa,
Capraro, Hazel - you could argue that their
Dixie attempts are the truer ones as they were closer to the source.
Richard - what is he talking about.
