Dear Steve,
I assume that you are referring to "With Louis and The Duke" by Barney Bigard. Edited by Barry Martyn. (Macmillan Press 1985).
A short but very interesting and informative book.
(For those listmates who have not read it, seek out a copy.)
We were fortunate to spend a little time with Mr Bigard when he came to Melbourne on the first Louis Armstrong All Stars' tour of Australia in October 1954.
What a charming man he turned out to be.
We felt that his friendliness matched his wonderful clarinet playing over the years.
Kind regards,
Bill.
