Steve,

This is exactly the way Bob Schultz explained it to me in that Trad Jazz 
Camp, and the way I use it with the Colorado Nighthawks.

But it's not the Out Chorus... altho it could be.   The out chorus is 
usually planned or even arranged.  This is individuals, playing in their 
range, playing the things that go good, and sometimes sound wonderful.
