[Dixielandjazz] Fwd: Dogfight

Even going back to high school in New Jersey, college in NJ, graduate school in Indiana, conductors of concert bands I played in used the term "dogfight". My high school performing was long before I ever played in a jazz band.
If it's regional, it is prevalent east of the Mississippi.

In well over 60 years of listening and reading about jazz, I have never, ever, heard the term 'dogfight' used. 
Until this week.
