I double also. Maybe not fluently, but almost adequately. Tom Saunders doesn't switch on stage often anymore, but also adds bass sax to his mix. Don Franz doesn't play string bass, but bass sax, tuba, plectrum banjo. Give Don 10 minutes, he'd be at least adequate on string bass. steve
