Hello everyone!

I want to put the word out about a new theater in the works. It is called
Keep A Song In Your Soul and will be premiering Nov. 3-6 at the Old-Town
School of Folk Music in Chicago. The cast will include the Carolina
Chocolate Drops (Dom Flemons, Rhiannon Giddens, Hubby Jenkins), ragtime
pianist Reginald Robinson and tap dancer Reggio "The Hoofer' McLaughlin,
percussion and Sankofa Strings founder Sule Greg Wilson, Canadian folk
songstress and clarinetist Allison Russell, jazz trombonist Angela Wellman,
blues singer Katherine Russell and poet Lalenja Harrington.

Sule Wilson wrote a great quote describing a bit of the show:

"There's a bunch of AfrAm Acoustics taking place in this Keep a Song in Your
Soul: clarinet, trombone, piano, washboard, four- and five-string banjo,
fiddle, guitar, drums, feet, tambourine and, of course, song.

Don't wait for reviews; don't wait for the download: come to Chicago
November 3-6 and see the show! Ragtime, Minstrelsy, Frolic (square dance),
Classic Blues, Art Songs, Challenge Dances, Fiddle & 'Jo, Pre-Kick Pedal
drum set, brass & reeds, comedy sketches, spirituals & devotionals, blue
humor, crap games and romance--all done by Kullud Foke! It's not gonna
happen like this, again.

Wanna be there? Lay yer money down now."

So much of this production has been a culmination of a lot of things we have
talked about in this group. It will be a great!

Here is a caption from the Chicago Tribune and also a sample video from the
production. Hope we'll see you all there!
