I realize that it is now over and done with, Dan Barrett has apologized for
being confused as he had not read his DJML post in the order they were
received ............ not to mention the fact that "Fishman" John Gill was
probably rather pleased that Dan came to his defense when Dick Baker made
that remark about "Ragtime" John Gill's eccentricity..
However, I can see how things can become easily confused with the same or
similar names.
Only yesterday, the assistant manager at my local Walgreens was apologizing
to me for not yet taking the opportunity to listen to my Radio OKOM program,
"Callaghan's Corner" but said he had fully intended to do so.
Then when I was checking out, he happened to be at the register and said
"Thanks, Dirty Harry".
He was obviously making refrence to the San Francisco Police Inspector Harry
Callahan (without the silent g) played in 5 movies by Clint Eastwood.
I told him, "No, you have us confused, that's the Harry with the 44, I'm the
one with the 33s, 45s & 78s"
Years ago, I dated a girl who won the Miss Phonograph Records Beauty
Pageant. Yup, her measurements were 33-45-78
Tides
