If you are happy with the concept, then I would have thought it
would be easier to make the CDs into mp3 files that could then
be put on a web site or emailed to people. Having got the tapes
into CD format, it would be easy to convert them to mp3.

Then again, maybe you have reasons to keep them as CDs

If you do want to do the conversion and need help, let me know.
