The following is a repeat of a post I sent to djml last week entitled
¡¡¡VAYA NIÑO!!!

Some of you may have been put off by the subject not knowing that it meant
"what a kid", and referred to this unusually good, young drummer.

I wrote earlier:
Another example of a young, talented musician. This drummer is 10 yrs old:

Following is another video of the same boy, but the tune (Chick Correa) may
be a bit modern for some ears on djml. Nevertheless, give it a listen.

Someone then wrote in to the list saying that someone else was playing the
woodblocks. He is actually playing the woodblocks with his feet.

Drummers are now using pedals for woodblocks, cowbells, claves, etc., and
double pedals for bass drum work. So, our young chap is actually playing an
interesting rhythm on the woodblock with his left foot! Watch that first
video again, and look at his left foot working the woodblock! Then, about
minute 2:40 he is working 3 pedals like an organist with his left foot while
the right foot is doing the same on another set of pedals, while all the
time playing a well put together drum solo with his hands.

Following is a link to a site that isn't all that great (Japanese followed
by English explanations, and with subtitles in English) which clearly show
the setup of footpedals in a modern drummers kit.
