[Dixielandjazz] St Louis happenings: Banjos and Brass debuts, BandJos go Roadhouse

Friday, Sept 17 at Sands Restaurant, 7435 Watson (Kenrick Plaza, west of Laclede Station Rd), brings the first engagement
by Bobby Grimm and Al Lehman, banjos, Pat Arana, trombone, and Steve Hoog, tuba and bass.  7pm-10pm.

October 4th, 430pm, the St Louis BandJos at the Highway 61 Roadhouse 34 S. Old Orchard Avenue in Webster Groves.  This is a youth banjo group directed and taught by Ginny Luetje and Buddy Griffin.  The St Louis PAZZ Dispensers, a select band of local players, (Ginny, what does that stand for, again?????   ) will play from 6-7. 

Also, continuing for the next few weeks at least, until the weather deems it should end, Monday nights at Culver's, MO 141 and Bowles in Fenton, Russ Politte, bass, Pat Arana, trombone, Don Scherer, Al Lehman, and Bobby Grimm, banjo 6-9 pm on the patio outdoors.  Keep hoping for nice weather on Mondays!!

St Louis Banjo Club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month at the Concordia Turners Hall, 6432 Gravois, just east of Kingshighway.
All are welcome, no admission charge, cash bar by the Turners Club.  Sing along and listen to the banjos!

St Louis Jazz Club has monthly concerts in varying locations, check the website www.stlouisjazzclub.org for dates and locations.
