[Dixielandjazz] Kenny Davern with the John Petters Swing Band

Hi,
That is a most wonderful CD!
True, a bit on the short side (48'37"), but the quality!
The lineup cannot be bettered nowadays - and could not at the time.
One needs not elaborate about Kenny Davern.  But the others are much
less famous, andunjustly so!  The rest of the band is just perfect for
this kind of setting: professor Martin Litton has few equals, Roger
Nobes is a great vibes player, as I am sure will say all the American
musicians who have played with him), bassist Keith Donald (the only
one on the CD I do not know otherwiase) keeps steady rhythm, and
listmate John Petters does all the right things: plays softly when it
is required, and is extremely propulsive in other places.
I have just heard it again, and have derived great joy from it.
Kudos for John!
