[Dixielandjazz] the future?

When I see these films about the future on tv, it irks me the way the future
is always dark, wet, dangerous...

If anyone today works at all with young people, you will feel deep down
inside that the future is not going to be that way. There are some really
bright kids out there. They are going to be working hard to solve the many
problems that are presented to us today in our modern world.

I sell, install & service large format digital recording consoles mainly (at
least now) to the broadcast (tv/radio) & film mixing studios. I work
directly with some very smart kids. I'm talking 20 to 30 yr olds. They
know & understand things that is hard for someone my age to conceive. I
always think of the ending lines to What A Wonderful World:

"I hear babies crying, I watch them grow, they'll learn much more than I'll
ever know."
My oldest son has been working in cancer research for years now
(microbiology). His papers (search google for Adam S. Kashishian) have
titles that I can't understand...forget the context! The above words make
me think of him & my other 4 kids every time I sing them.

Jim (a bright future!) Kash
