Dear Richard,
We in Australian were lucky.
Two of those Krupa sides ("Bonaparte's Retreat/My Scandinavian Baby") were issued here as 78s in the 50s,
We bought them because we instantly recognised our hero, Wild Bill.
It is Peanuts Hucko on clarinet.

Gene Krupa's Chicago Jazz Band:
Wild Bill Davison (c) Cutty Cutshall (tb) Peanuts Hucko (cl) Gene Schroeder (p) Ray Biondi (g) Al Hall (b) Gene Krupa (d) Bobby Scoots (vcl)
New York, March 26, 1950
At The Jazz Band Ball (bs vcl)
I Want Gold In My Pockets (bs vcl)

New York, April 6, 1950
Bonaparte's Retreat (bs vcl)
My Scandinavian Baby (bs vcl)

Ed Hall was on a later session as follows:

Gene Krupa's Chicago Jazz Band:
Wild Bill Davison (c) Cutty Cutshall (tb) Edmond Hall (cl) Ernie Caceres (bar) Joe Bushkin (p) Ray Biondi (g) Al Hall (b) Gene Krupa (d) Bobby Scoots (vcl)
New York, September 11, 1950
 Walkin' The Blues (bs vcl)
 Panhandle Rag (bs vcl)
 I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles
Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives To Me

All eight sides from the 1950s session came out here on a local RCA LP (VJL 1 0382).
I do not know of any CD reissues of the above, apart from a long-deleted French Classics CD, I do not have.
The album is available from iTunes.
But let's put it all into perspective. Bobby Scoots is certainly no jazz singer and the band is great, but only given full rein on the two non-vocal sides. However, I still love Wild Bill on"Bonaparte's Retreat", probably because we loved it back in the daze when we wore the 78 to death.
Here I go again! More than you needed to know.
At least I had fun replaying the LP just now.
Thank you for the reminder.
Kind regards,
Bill.
