Hi Scott:

Agree the vuvuzela is boring. But remember my post a year ago about an
incredible 5 string banjo player who plays jazz. Hear Tom Slavicek
playing a 6 string banjo at:

Banjo lovers who wish to explore the possibilities of bebop banjo
might go to http://www.bopjo.com/music.html. Once here click on the
songs like anthropology. straight no chaser, etc.

Mostly done, I think, on 5 or 6 string banjo, however also mostly
single stringing so there is no drone.

Dave Crisler is also a whiz of a jazz banjo player and has written two
books on Jazz Improvisation for 5 String Banjo.

Vol 1 An Introduction to Jazz Improvisation for the 5 String Banjo

Vol 2 Banjo Chromaticism
