Woody Allen was playing in a jazz band long before he got interested
in and famous for making movies. Why shouldn't he continue to do so?

In High School, Eastwood, according to biographers supposedly had
musical talent, athletic talent. and acting talent. However he neither
played in the high school band nor on any of the athletic teams and
refused to try out for school plays etc. That he does not surround
himself with musicians and play publicly should not surprise us.

Why don't we ask the musicians in the Woody Davis New Orleans Jazz
Band what they think? Wonder what Eddy Davis, or Jerry Zigmont would
say. What is interesting to note is that the charge for the Eddy Davis
Band with Woody Allen, is priced higher than any other act at the
Carlyle, which books some great musical acts. But get there quickly,
they might be taking the summer off.

With the dinner requirement, I don't think you can get out of there
for less than $200 if you are regular folks or $250 if a VIP. Heck,
it's even $110 spent if you sit at the bar no matter how long you can
nurse a drink. On a Monday night, no less. <grin>
