Thank you, Dan, for one of the best explanations I've ever read about  
this thing we call "jazz." You are right on.

I've enjoyed your tasty work for years, melodic and beautifully  
phrased, which epitomizes Duke Ellington's (perhaps apocriphal) quote:  
"There are only two kinds of music; good and bad."

It is unfortunate that some fans of OKOM always need the banjo and  
tuba to recognize it as jazz.
