[Dixielandjazz] Phoebe Snow song

Arranged and conducted by Gordon Jenkins.....how could we expect anything
less?
Just happened to put on the "Francis A & Edward K" album that paired Frank
with Duke Ellington this morning.. I particularly wanted to listen to "All
I Need is The Girl" which has always been my favorite from the score of
"Gypsy"
Well, life is full of surprises. In perusing the liner notes, I discovered
that the arrangements were by Billy May who Sinatra had only worked with on
1 previous Reprise LP, that being the 2nd one released on the label back in
'61.
I've had the LP for close to 40 years and never bothered to notice before.
The lesson here being that even if your lawyer doesn't advise you to do so,
always read the fine print.
Tides,
HC
