Hi all,

Back in February there was a discussion about this film on DJML - it
is an animated story by Nina Paley that combines traditional art and
shadow puppets from India with OKOM songs from the 1920s ( sung by
Annette Hanshaw.) Because of some problems with rights releases, the
film is being made available for download at no cost. ("Why" is a bit
confusing, but there are some attempts at an explanation on the
website.)

Anyway, you can watch it on Youtube or download the entire film in a
variety of formats to fit your personal computer and Internet
connection.
http://sitasingstheblues.com/watch.html is the main page for getting
the film.

(more on Annette Hanshaw here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annette_Hanshaw
  )
