I was at this session when I first met Bill.
Decca wanted Ella to sing scat and jive. Sy ran out of ideas and asked "what do think would
be some good tunes." I suggested Flying Home, Airmail Special and Smoothe Sailing.
They were all recorded on this date.
I picked up the music from Harry Goodman (Benny's brother) and brought it to Sy.
