Kevin,
I found a copy of "Take a Ferry Boat Down To New Orleans" in a fakebook
called "New Orleans Dixieland Jazz", 387 pages.
I borrowed it a few years ago from Lynn Hall, trombonist and band leader
from San Rafael, CA.
Unfortunately that fakebook didn't have any information about date,
composer, or lyrics.
I wondered if it was by Paul Barbarin.
Maybe someone on DJML knows more about it.
Please let me know if you find out anything more.
Cheers,
Bruce Stangeland
Berkeley banjoist

I have a lead sheet for "Take a Ferry Boat Down to New Orleans" but there are no lyrics, no composer, year of composition etc.? It's a pretty straight forward piece built on a circle of fifths but has a nice melody.
I cannot locate the lyrics through my usual channels so I am hoping someone here may have them or be able to direct me to the best place.
Can anyone help?
