It never ceases to amaze surfers like me who come upon some of the
many jazz sites/programs that exist, how many there are. Here is an
interesting one that includes over 70 FREE ADMISSION jazz concerts in
February and March.

And it is located toward the end of Long Island, 80 miles East of New
York City.

Maybe not OKOM, but surely an indication that Jazz in its many forms
may even be growing.

Long Island Culture & Wine Winterfest - Feb 13 through March 21 -
"Jazz on the Vine"

http://www.liwinterfest.com/liwinterfest/calendar.html

What is really interesting about this series of events is that the
eastern Long Island, during the winter, is the hind end of nowhere.
Yet when surfing the site, one finds all sorts of corporate
sponsorships, and concerts that are trying to draw audience. etc.

Cheers,
