[Dixielandjazz] John Norris

[Jack Mitchell]

John Norris died in Toronto on January 31 of a heart attack. He was a great jazz fan, known throughout the jazz world. He founded the magazine CODA and together with photographer and sax player Bill Smith founded Sackville Records, a most important jazz label. It's people like John who do a lot to spread the word, and the magic, of jazz.
