Christmas Day: anyone else got a gig on the 25th? We almost always get
booked for the week covering Christmas at a local club. We start tonight.

We have the 24th off, but not the 25th. A bit of a drag for me as my family
continues to celebrate Christmas on the 25th. with turkey, etc. at
lunch...around 2 or 3pm. I have to go slow on the wine & champagne to be
able to make the 10:30pm gig!
Three of my kids (+ spouses) will be here from London (if the snow lets
up!).

In Spain, the 24th is the important time....when families get together for
dinner (around 11pm!). Dinner is fresh shrimp, lamb, etc.
Christmas day is normally for sleeping in late, and lots of young people go
out in the evening.

Presents come during the night of 5 January, carried to the homes by the
Three Kings, and are opened on the 6th. We're back at the same club for
another week over "Los Reyes" (Three Kings) in January, also.
