"Oriental blues" was composed by Jack Nolan, 1934, to be sure, with a lot
ripped-off (from Gershwin) Rialto Ripples.

>> Let us not forget the use the late, great Ernie Kovacs made of "Die
>> Moritat" as background music for some of the skits in the Ernie Kovacs
>> Show on TV. It was sung in German, I'm not sure by whom. And, of
>> course, "Solfeggio" that accompanied the marvellous Nairobi Trio, not to
>> forget the show's theme music, "Oriental Blues."
>>
>> Not much jazz content, but a show to be wondered at back in the day.
>> Ubi sunt qui ante nos fuerunt?
