I instantly picked up on that but was willing to let it slide by.

While I never bother to use spell check myself, I have often wondered how,
in the case of proper nouns, does it know whether the name ends in "stein"
or "stien"

BTW  SInce you make mention of Alec Wilder, while I don't know exactly when
Miller became A&R man at Columbia, I'm guessing that it is quite possible
that he was responsible for that album where Sinatra conducted Wilder's
compositions..
