Hi Ken,Any idea whatever happend to Jim Petri?
Some years ago a jazz pen pal of mine enquired whom did I consder the
best British New Orleans style trumpeter, and extolled the relative
virtues of Phil Mason and Sonny Morris.

My reply was "Jim Petri," but I drew a blank.

I listened to the Diplomats of Jazz yesterday, and to George Penman's
with Jim subbing for the regular trumpeter, and my feeling has been
reinforced.
