[Dixielandjazz] I hate amps!!

I played a gig a few weeks ago with a brass/dance band.  It was a large 
wedding recpetion at the Mobile Mardi Gras Museum. We had a tuba, 
trombone , trumpet , drums and me on banjo.  We niether needed nor used 
ANY amplfication. We just played the music. The Excelsior Brass Band 
(contiuous since 1883), plays block dances outdoors with no 
amplification. Just being smug here.
