For those of you who will be in Pismo Beach, CA this weekend for the Jazz
Jubilee, here is an item that might interest you:

KO Eckland Commemorative Event at the Veterans' Building
Saturday, October 24,  9:00 AM - Noon

There will be a special, commemorative program celebrating the life of K O
Eckland who passed away a few months ago.  KO, former piano player with the
Firehouse Five + 2,  was the founder of the Basin Street Regulars and the
Jubilee by the Sea. Music, chit chat, jokes, remembrances are all welcomed.
This is NOT to be a funeral.  KO wouldn't go to funerals and so it's only
appropriate that we not have one for him. Band lineup includes Creole
Syncopaters, Natural Gas JB, High Sierra JB, Nightblooming JB, and So.
Burgundy St. JB.
