Dear Bob,
We saw the stage show "Stomp" when it came to Sydney a few years ago.
A great night's entertainment and completely engrossing.
They even had, and featured, a kitchen sink!
There is also a great Australian dance group (that came up about the  
same time as 'Stomp") which gets similar percussive effects performing  
in steel-capped work boots and clothing on building construction  
scaffolding and equipment.
We've seen this show several times.
They also produced a film, "Bootmen".
Well worth looking for.
