Hi,
My only claim to fame. I played with Bob for several years in his later 
days. Like so many musicians he approved of my drumming because I `didn`t 
get in the way`.

I also overheard  him tellinmg a visitor why he employed me when there were 
`so many better drummers around who would die to play for him` Bob said `Pat 
always turnes up, never sends a sub. and when he plays the band swings`. 
What could be better than that.

Bob still plays a bit locally. A great jazzer. It was a privilege to play 
with him.
