From: Blackwell's guide to Recorded Jazz:

Start Quote: "On Blues in B someone asks Charlie (Christian) to play a
blues in B. (Is this the recording engineer, who perhaps did not know
the difference between B and Bb?) The horn players are flustered, this
being a difficult key for them, and in the background you can hear,
'what the hell . . . in B' as they noodle about, but for guitar this
is one of the easiest keys, and Christian plunges right in." - End Quote

Some think that it was Guarnieri who said; "Let's play the blues in
B". In any event, the group plays the Blues in B.  Guarnieri pno;
Artie Bernstein bs;  Georgie Auld T Sax;
Dave Tough Dms; Charlie Christian gui.
