As most of you know, I don't like amplification.  I hate hauling the big 
amp (my back hurts thinking about it) and I hate the inevitable feedback 
noise that comes out of nowhere.  I hate it all. Oh, and I hate mikes.

However, what I think is really scary is the attitude that if you don't 
use amplification, then you are really not playing music. This idea has 
gotten to be more prevalent in the last 30 years.
